where can i find the best theater jobs in texas?
It all depends on your definition of a “best theater job.”
If you’re looking for top-paying acting, support, administration, or backstage positions, you’ll probably want to be in one of the larger cities, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, etc.
If you want something that can fulfill your inner expression of the Art, that can be done almost anywhere, but a mid-size to larger city will offer you more options and the possibility of theatre-related work to help support yourself.

How long does it usually take to find an entry level job?
Hi. I’m a recent college graduate who has been out of work for months without even one interview for even the lowest-paying entry level jobs.
I was wondering what the average time it takes to find an entry level job in this economy? I’m in Austin, Texas, which is supposedly the best job market for new graduates in the country but there’s still nothing here so I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
How many entry level applicants (with bachelors degrees) are usually competing for the same entry-level job ad in this economy? Does anyone have tips for a new graduate to be noticed without being annoying? I’ve already exhausted my personal network so I’m not sure where to look any more.
What with the state of the economy, a degree does not matter much, especially for an entry level opening…………….there are too many millions of people unemployed, so instead of the “usual” 10 applicants for a position, it’s more like 100 or more. I can suggest – from personal experience – to look at your State, Counties, and local Cities websites for their employment listings; www.indeed.com is another good source…………….avoid craigslist as there is one genuine job listed for every 1000 that are false listings
